Overview
Uttar Pradesh has the 2nd highest count of medical colleges in India and so does Maharashtra i.e. both the states have 66 MBBS colleges each. But, Uttar Pradesh has a lesser seat count than Maharashtra (9,153 seats) for MBBS 2024. These seats are divided among 35 UP govt. medical colleges which hold 4,303 MBBS seats, and 31 private medical colleges with a share of 4850 MBBS seats. The PG options are such that 20 UP medical colleges offer 1159 seats in MD/MS/Diploma programs. For further studies i.e. super specialty studies, there are 11 UP govt. colleges with 220+ seats in DM/MCH program.

NEET-UG 2025 Cut Off
Counseling for MBBS admission Uttar Pradesh is led by the Director-General of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh. It includes MBBS Seats for government and private medical universities situated in the territory of Uttar Pradesh Counseling for Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is directed by Medical Counseling Committee Delhi through All India Quota Counseling.
There are three stages of counseling and enrollment is permitted in every one of the three forms. Enrollment starts before the first, second, and mop-up round counseling. Medical aspirants who have not enrolled in before rounds can enlist for the following rounds. Eligibility for Uttar Pradesh NEET-UG 2025 Counselling
