Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College (RDASMC), Ayodhya, is a government medical institution located in Darshan Nagar in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh. The institution is located approximately 130 km from Lucknow, and can be easily reached through the major highways.

It was established in 2019 to increase medical education and healthcare services in the region. It was formerly known as Government Medical College (GMC) Faizabad.

The institution has an affiliation with the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow and is also recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college offers 100 MBBS seats each year.

The campus is spread over nearly 75 acres and has an attached hospital for practical learning, modern infrastructure and residential accommodation for students. It provides modern academic and medical facilities. The head of the college is Principal Dr. Satyajeet Verma. The institution has affordable medical fees.

Admission Process 2026, ASMC Ayodhya

Admission to the MBBS course at ASMC Ayodhya is based entirely on NEET-UG 2026 scores.

Admission Steps:

  1. Appear and qualify for NEET-UG 2026 with the required percentile.
  2. Register for Uttar Pradesh NEET-UG Counselling which is conducted by the DMET Lucknow.

Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for MBBS admission must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 17 years of age as on 31 December 2026
  • Must qualify NEET-UG 2026 with minimum required percentile i.e. 50th percentile for general category and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC categories
  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised education board with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English and score a minimum aggregate 50% marks in PCB for general category and 40% for reserved categories.

Applicants can be Indian citizens and UP domicile candidates will be preferred for the state quota seats.
