Govt. Scholarship Programs for MBBS in Madhya Pradesh 2026
The Government of Madhya Pradesh provides strong financial support through various scholarship schemes for students pursuing MBBS, especially for meritorious and reserved category candidates.
Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY):
This scheme offers up to 100% tuition fee waiver in Government and selected Private Medical Colleges. Eligible candidates must be MP domiciles, score at least 70% in MP Board or 85% in CBSE/ICSE Class 12, have annual family income below 6 lakhs, and secure admission through NEET UG merit.
Post-Matric Scholarship (Reserved Categories):
SC/ST students receive full fee reimbursement subject to income limits (generally up to 6 lakhs). OBC students with annual family income below 3 lakhs can also get full tuition fee support as per state norms.
Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana:
This scheme provides full tuition fee waiver for children of registered unorganized workers holding a valid Sambal Card, provided admission is secured through NEET merit.
Important Note:
Students can avail only one scholarship scheme at a time. A rural service bond may apply for candidates admitted to Government medical colleges as per state policies.
Service Bond Seat Leaving Penalty for Govt. Medical Colleges in Madhya Pradesh (2026)
Students taking MBBS admission in Government Medical Colleges of Madhya Pradesh must follow compulsory bond rules aimed at strengthening rural healthcare services.
Rural Service Bond:
All State Quota (and generally AIQ) candidates must serve 1 year in a government-designated rural health facility after completing MBBS and internship. The penalty for non-compliance is 10 Lakhs for UR and 5 Lakhs for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Scholarship beneficiaries may have longer service obligations.
Seat Leaving Penalty:
If a student resigns after the final counselling round or discontinues the course midway, a penalty of around 30 Lakhs is applicable, along with possible debarment from next year’s State Quota counselling.

Eligibility for Madhya Pradesh NEET-UG 2026 Counselling

- He/she should be a citizen of India
- He/she should have completed 17 years of age by the 31st December of the year he/she is applying for admission in

How to Register for Madhya Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026
The procedure to apply for admission commences with filling the MP MBBS admission form. The application form is provided on the official MP MBBS admission portal, i.e. website of Directorate of Medical Education, MP. At the time of filling the MP MBBS admission online application form, the candidate shall enter his/her personal details, contact details, academic details, NEET UG details, etc. Moreover, the candidate must ensure all the details provided by him/her in the MP MBBS admission online application form are correct. Here is a step by step approach to fill the MP MBBS application form.
- Go to the official website of Directorate of Medical Education, MP
- You must go through the MP MBBS admission registration on the official MP MBBS admission portal i.e.
- website of Directorate of Medical Education, MP and start filling the MP MBBS admission online application form using the roll number and password.
- First set of details include the candidate’s personal details such as name, father’s and mother’s name, date of birth, gender, etc.
- Next set of details include contact details through which the candidate can get notified of any developments in DME MP online counseling 2026.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Upon entering the OTP, the candidate can create a new password.
- After successfully entering the aforementioned details, the candidate shall head to the next step and begin filling his domicile, category and academic details such as candidate’s scores in 12th standard, subjects studied, result, etc.
- The candidate should now save the details and head towards uploading essential documents. The list of documents can be found under the ‘Documents required’ section.
- The final step is to pay a certain amount that goes towards MP MBBS admission application form fee.
- The amount to be paid as application fee is INR 970. After paying the required amount, the candidate has successfully applied for the MP MBBS admission.
- Now take a printout of the registration receipt of the MP MBBS admission and keep it for future reference.
