MBBS in Telangana 2026 – Overview

Telangana is one of the most sought-after states for MBBS admission in 2026, offering over 9,500 MBBS seats across 66 medical colleges, including Government, Private, Central Institutions (AIIMS ESIC), and Minority Medical colleges. The wide seat matrix across multiple districts makes Telangana a strong option for NEET-qualified candidates.

MBBS admissions are conducted through State counselling by KNRUHS, which manages 85% of Government seats and 100% of Private Medical College seats. The remaining 15% Government seats are filled under the All India Quota (AIQ) through MCC.

In terms of fees, Government Medical Colleges are highly affordable, with nominal annual tuition and low overall yearly expenses. Private Medical Colleges follow a structured three-tier fee system — subsidized State Quota seats, mid-range Management Quota seats, and premium NRI Quota seats — allowing students to choose options based on rank and budget.

With competitive NEET cut-offs, transparent counselling, affordable government fees, a large number of seats, and no compulsory rural service bond after MBBS, Telangana remains a balanced and strategic destination for NEET 2026 aspirants.
