Viswabharathi Medical College (VMC) is a private medical college that opened its doors in 2014 and is located in Penchikalapadu, Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh). It is one of the premier institutions in the region with affiliation to Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences (formerly called NTRUHS) located in Vijayawada, recognized by the National Medical Commission and the State of Andhra Pradesh government regulations regarding the operation of private colleges.

The fee structure varies in accordance with State Government (Govt. of AP) and Dr. YSRUHS rules and regulations broken down into three categories:

• Category A- Separate allotment by Admission through Counselling: Rs.15,000 per academic year.
• Category B- Management Quota Admission: Rs.12,00,000 to Rs.13,20,000 per academic year.
• Category C- NRI Admission: Rs.30,00,000 to Rs.35,00,000 per academic year.
• Hostel and Mess Fees: Rs.1,20,000 to Rs.1,80,000 per academic year, depending on the preference of A/C or Non-A/C rooms.

Admission Process 2026, VMC Kurnool

The selection process for admission to the Viswabharathi Medical College (VMC) for the academic year 2026 will be based solely on academic performance and will be through a state-level selection process where students will need to register with Dr YSR UHS.

Admission Process

1. Entrance Exam: All candidates must qualify with a valid NEET UG 2026 score.
2. Counselling Body: All counselling related to admissions will be conducted by Dr YSR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh.
3. Seat Allocation:
   • 50% of seats in Category A, Local Andhra Pradesh students as per the State Merit List.
   • 35% of seats in Category B, Candidates from other parts of India applying for management quota.
   • 15% of seats in Category C, NRI/NRI sponsored candidates.
4. Application Process:
   • Once candidates have qualified NEET UG with the required percentile, they will register at the Dr YSR UHS website and select VMC as their preferred college using the web option. Candidates must go through all documents verification processes when offered a seat.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to study MBBS at VMC, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

1. AGE - Eligible candidates must have reached age 17 by December 31, 2026
2. EDUCATION - must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
3. MINIMUM REQUIRED Marks (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are:
   • 50% for General, EWS
   • 40% for SC/ST/OBC
   • 45% for PwD candidates.
4. NEET CUT-OFF Marks: A candidate must achieve at least the required qualifying NEET cut-off for their respective category.
