About College

Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) was established in 2020 to foster women’s involvement in medicine and healthcare leadership. It is part of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and has set out to provide high-quality medical education in a supportive, women-centered setting.

College courses combine classroom instruction with clinical training through the Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Centre (SUHRC), as a place where students experience live patient care within a medical specialty.

From 2025, SMCW has been allowed to introduce postgraduate programs (MD/MS) for both women and men.

MBBS Programme (Undergraduate) Overview

  • Degree: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
  • Duration: 5.5 years (4.5 academic years + 1 year compulsory internship).
  • Seats: 150 (MBBS) - 127 general + 23 NRI/OCI quota.
