About College
Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences, Shivamogga is simply known as Subbaiah Medical College Shimoga or formally as Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Institute, Shivamogga. It is a reputed private medical institution in Shivamogga(Shimoga) in Karnataka. It offers undergraduate MBBS, postgraduate MD/MS and allied-science medical programs.
It was founded in the year 2003 by the Tadikela Subbaiah Trust (founder -Sri. T.Subbaramaiah), to provide quality medical education and training in the region.
The lush-green campus is spread over 32 acres with modern academic blocks, departmental labs, departmental museum, residential accommodation for the students, and a dedicated teaching hospital.

Admission Process 2026, Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences
The admission process for the MBBS course is based on merit and is as follows:
