About College
Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) is a new private, non-profit, medical college, recently established in Chikkaballapur (about 60 km from Bangalore) in Karnataka. It was founded in 2023 and operates under the Sri Sathya Sai University of Health Education and is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. It is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The campus has a peaceful environment and with its experienced faculty, modern infrastructure, ethical and skill-oriented clinical exposure and student-centered learning approach, it has made a name for itself, despite being a new establishment.
There are 50 MBBS seats per year offered by the college each year. Its proximity to Bangalore makes it accessible and a conducive learning environment, focussing on academic growth.

- University registration: Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 (one-time)

Admission Process 2026, SMSIMSR
- Qualify NEET UG 2026 (expected in May 2026).
- Register for Karnataka NEET counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
- Complete online document verification.
- Fill in college preferences and prioritize SMSIMSR.
- Participate in seat allotment rounds (management quota primarily).
- Download the allotment letter and pay the prescribed fees.
- Report to the college within the deadline (usually 5-7 days).
