Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) Gangtok is a prestigious private medical institution in Sikkim. It was established in 2001 and operates under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model of the Government of Sikkim and the Manipal Pai Foundation. It is located at 5th Mile in Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim and within the premises of the Sikkim Manipal University (SMU).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for MBBS at SMIMS Gangtok, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  2. Be at least 17 years of age as on 31 December of the year taking admission
  3. There is no upper age limit to appear for NEET-UG.
  4. Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent from a recognised board with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (PCB) and English as subjects and secured minimum aggregate marks in PCB

    • 45% for PwD
    • 40% for SC/ST/OBC
  5. Candidates can be Indian citizens, NRIs, OCIs and PIOs.
