About College
Government Medical College, Kadapa is a premier Government medical institution in Puttampally, on the outskirts of the YSR Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 2006 by the Andhra Pradesh government to provide medical education and healthcare services in the region.
The college is also known as Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, (RIMS) Kadapa and GMC Kadapa. It is affiliated with the Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and is approved by the National Medical Commission. It offers MBBS (175 seats annually) and postgraduate (MD/MS) medical programs.
The campus spans an area of 210 acres and has an attached teaching hospital, modern class rooms, advanced laboratories, skilled faculty, residential accommodation for the students and support services.

Admission Process 2026, RIMS Kadapa
MBBS admission is based only on merit - the score of the qualifying NEET-UG 2026 exam.
Seat allocation : 85% for State quota and 15% for All India Quota
Steps of the Process:
- Qualify the entrance NEET-UG 2026 exam conducted by the NTA.
