Prakash Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PIMS Sangli) is a private medical college and tertiary care hospital in Urun-Islampur, Sangli district of Maharashtra, established in 2016 by Prakash Shikshan Mandal, to expand access to quality medical education and public healthcare in the rural and tribal areas of the state. It was founded with the goal of delivering quality medical education with holistic development to the students turning them into skilled healthcare professionals in Maharashtra.

The institute is attached to Prakash Hospital & Research Centre, a multispeciality clinical facility, offering extensive practical training, clinical exposure, and patient care experience to the students.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the MBBS program, candidates must fulfill the following criteria: 

  1. Candidates need to have completed the 12th grade or an equivalent qualification with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English from a recognized educational board. 
  2. There is a minimum percentage requirement (generally 50% aggregate in PCB for the general category and the equivalent for reserved categories), in accordance with NEET and medical admission regulations. 
  3. The candidate should be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year. 

For postgraduate medical programs, candidates must pass NEET-PG and follow the specified counselling process.
