Eligibility Criteria


Before filling out the online application form for NEET UG 2023, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), the candidate must read out the minimum qualification, age limit, and nationality eligibility requirements. The eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2023 are as follows:

Age Limit


Minimum Age: The candidate must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31 of the year of admission. The age limit for NEET UG 2023 is determined by the candidate's 10+2 or equivalent certificate date of birth.

Maximum Age: There is no upper age limit for the exam. The age restriction applies to candidates in every category, including General, OBC, SC, and ST.

Education


The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.

Qualifying marks


The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 examination for the General category, 45% marks for the OBC category, and 40% marks for the SC/ST category.

Nationality


Be a citizen of India, or a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), or Foreign National.

  • Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • J&K/AP/Telangana: Such candidates are eligible for All India 15% quota only (also eligible for admission in AFMC, Pune) on the basis of self-declaration.

Documents required


You can upload the documents during the NEET application form or later by logging into the NEET portal, ensuring original submission during verification. The documents required for the NEET exam application are:

  • Passport
  • Class 10 pass certificate: The class 10 pass certificate must be scanned in JPEG format and should not exceed 2 MB in size.
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) certificate (if applicable)
  • Citizenship certificate (applicable for NRI/OCI/Foreign citizen candidates)
  • Aadhaar card or proof of present and permanent address
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Valid mobile number and email address

Remember: The documents must be clear and legible. The documents must be in English or Hindi.
