Admission Process 2026, NIMS Medchal
NIMS admissions process uses the NEET-UG examination scores as the determining factor, and all admissions will be through a centralised counselling system administered by KNRUHS.
You must complete the following actions in order to be eligible and admitted:
- Take the NEET-UG exam and pass it.
- Register online through the KNRUHS counselling website.
- Rank your college selection (preference).
- The college seats you are offered will be based on the three main criteria of your NEET-UG exam score, your NEET-UG exam score category (or both), and your ranking of the colleges.
- Once you have been offered a college seat by the KNRUHS, you will print your Final Admission Letter from the KNRUHS website.
- You will report to the NIMS campus to confirm you accept the seat after you produce your final admission letter and pay the required Tuition Fees.
NIMS has 150 total seats. 25% of these seats will be reserved for students who reside in the Telangana State.
If there are open seats after this process has been completed, KNRUHS will conduct a mop-up and/or stray seat allocation process.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply to the NIMS M.B.B.S program, applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- All applicants must be 17 years of age as of December 31, 2026
- All applicants must pass the NEET-UG exam
- All general (unreserved) applicants must have received at least 50% and all reserved candidates must have received at least 40% in the NEET-UG
- All applicants must complete their secondary education (12th grade) with the following courses: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biological Science), and English and have received at least 50% (for general) or 40% (for reserved) as their overall grade.
Eligible applicants shall include Indian Citizen, non-resident Indian, Overseas Citizen of India, and Persons of Indian Origin.
A preference shall be granted to candidates who are domiciled to Telangana under State Quota.
