About College

Malda Medical College & Hospital (MMCH), was formed in 2011 in the Malda city of West Bengal. Initially a district hospital, it grew into a renowned government medical institution. It is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences(WBUHS) Kolkata and is recognized by the National Medical Commission, with approval granted in 2016.

There are 125 MBBS seats per year (since 2019) available at the college. The college concentrates on competency-based education with strong clinical training.

Located on Uma Roy Sarani, Singatala, Malda, the college provides healthcare services to the community across North Bengal through its attached multi-specialty hospital and tertiary care centre. With experienced faculty and modern facilities, MMCH has built a reputation for training capable, community-focused doctors.The campus is spread over 70,000 sq.mtrs.with a modern infrastructure- academic building, trauma care centre, library, blood bank, residential accommodation for students, interns, resident doctors and quarters for non-teaching and teaching staff.

Admission Process, 2026, MMCH Malda

Admission to MBBS is based on NEET-UG 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Steps:

  1. Appear and qualify NEET-UG 2026 with a valid score.
  2. Register online for counselling:
    • 15% All India Quota via Medical Counselling Committee
    • 85% State Quota via West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee
