Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research, at Talegaon Dabhade of Pune in Maharashtra, is a renowned private medical college and tertiary care hospital. It is also known as MIMER. It was established in 1995 by Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath Karad, of MAEER’s MIT World Peace Society, Pune. The mission of the institute is “health for all”.

It is a private medical institution in Maharashtra, founded with the vision of making medical professionals dedicated, following moral principles and being socially committed towards the public in the rural and urban areas with a humane and holistic approach. 

It is associated with Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Rural Hospital, a 765+ bed multispeciality hospital providing clinical learning experiences. It is also linked with MAEER’s MIT that aids in training MBBS and postgraduate students.

Admission Procedure 2026, MIMER Medical College

The admission procedure for MBBS programme is as follows:

  1. Qualify NEET-UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  2. Register for Maharashtra State Counselling (CET Cell).
  3. Participate in choice filling and seat allotment based on minimum percentile requirements for NEET-UG as per category (general/SC/ST/OBC).
  4. Report to the college with original documents for verification and fee payment.

  1. Candidates should have completed 12th grade or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized educational board. 
  2. There is a minimum percentage criterion (typically 50% aggregate in PCB for the General category and the equivalent for reserved categories), in accordance with NEET/medical admission standards. 
  3. The candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
