About College

Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital, in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, is a government medical college. It was previously known as Coochbehar Government Medical College and Hospital.

It was formed in 2019 to provide healthcare services and medical education in the remote northern part of West Bengal, i.e.Cooch Behar and it is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences and approved by the National Medical Commission. It offers quality medical education at very low costs and will soon grow into a premier medical institution.

The college admits 100 MBBS students each year and the focus is on combining academics with practical training. The campus is spread over 25 acres and has a 500-bed teaching hospital, administrative offices, academic blocks, residential accommodation for male and female students and specialized units - MCH Hub with SNCU and PICU facilities.

The campus is well planned to produce competent, compassionate and ethical doctors, especially to serve the region of North Bengal.

Admission Process 2026, Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College & Hospital
