The Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Mangalore was established in 1955 and is one of the top medical schools in India. KMC Mangalore is located in Mangalore, Karnataka on the coast of India, is affiliated to the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), and has international recognition by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and General Medical Council (GMC)(UK).

Admission Process 2026, Kasturba Medical College

  1. All applicants for admission to MBBS at KMC Mangalore must have qualified NEET UG 2026 with the appropriate cut-off percentile. 
  2. You must then register for counselling through the Medical Counselling Committee at ( mcc.nic.in ) since all seats in deemed universities are allocated through the Medical Counselling Committee. 
  3. All eligible applicants will be offered the opportunity to participate in:
    • Round 1
    • Round 2
    • Mop-Up
    • Stray Vacancy Rounds
  4. You will fill in and lock your preferences of Colleges.  
  5. Once awarded a College, you will download the College allotment letter and pay the appropriate advance fee (approximately Rs.2 lakhs) by the deadline given to you by KMC Mangalore before you can commence your admission process. 
  6. You must complete your admission at KMC Mangalore before the deadline given to you, which includes the following requirements:

    • Medical fitness
    • Payment of any balance fee

If you do not complete your admission within the timeframe provided, your seat will be forfeited. 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Be 17 years old or older by December 31, 2026 
  2. Pass NEET UG-2026  
    • General/EWS - Require 50th percentile or higher
    • OBC/SC/ST - Require 40th percentile or higher
  3. Have completed class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech, and English at an accredited institution. 
  4. Earn a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for General candidates and 40% aggregate for Reserved Categories . 

Eligibility includes Indian citizens, Non-Indian Citizens;,Overseas Citizens of India;,People of Indian Origin (PIO).  

No domicile is required for admission to a deemed university.
