Admission process 2026, KSHEMA

K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Mangalore will be admitting first-year students into the MBBS course based on results of the NEET-UG Examination 2026.

  1. You must first qualify for the NEET-UG Examination held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  2. You must register for counseling either
    • Through the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for state seat allotment or
    • Through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for deemed university seat allotment.
  3. You will participate in the first, second, mop-up and stray vacancy rounds of counseling and can select KSHEMA as one of your college choices.
  4. If you are allotted a seat at KSHEMA, you will pay the necessary fees and complete the document verification process.
  5. You must then report to KSHEMA within 7-10 days from the date of your allotment.
  6. You must provide all original documents and complete your medical fitness verification process.

If you do not report to KSHEMA before the deadline indicated above, your allotment will be cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. You must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31, 2026.
  2. You must qualify for the NEET-UG Examination conducted in 2026.
  3. You must meet the minimum score in the NEET-UG Examination and have the following minimum percentage requirement:
    • 50th percentile for general category students
    • 40th percentile for OBC/SC/ST candidates
  4. Completed a 10+2 program with:
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Biology/Biotechnology
    • English
  5. You must have achieved an overall average mark of at least 50% (general) in the Physics/Chemistry/Biology (PCB) subjects combined to qualify (40% for reserved category).

Candidates eligible to apply for admission to KSHEMA's MBBS program include:
