About College

Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College (JJM Medical College), founded in 1965 by the Bapuji Educational Association, is situated on Medical College Road in Davangere, Karnataka within its 25 acre campus.

As an affiliate of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Bangalore) with approval from the National Medical Commission, JJM has earned an excellent reputation over the years for academic excellence coupled with hands-on clinical training.

Each academic year, JJM admits 245 students into its undergraduate MBBS program, as well as a number of postgraduate students for residency program training. To provide appropriate clinical training to its students the college is affiliated with large teaching hospitals including Bapuji Hospital and District CG Hospital which provide ample opportunity for direct patient contact. JJM has also developed a favorable research culture, an array of community health programs, consistently high NEET scores for graduating physicians and produces graduates who practice medicine in many countries around the world.

Admission Process,2026, Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College

  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2026) is required for admission. 
  • You must register with Karnataka Examinations Authority Counselling Services for State Quota seats. 
  • You must apply for Management and NRI quota seats through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). 
  • You must attend the First Round, Second Round, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy Round. 
  • Once you have reviewed Mock Allotment, you must lock your choices and wait for Final Allotment. 
  • Once you are assigned a medical seat, you must pay initial fees online and download an allotment letter. 
  • You must go to JJM within 7 to 10 days for document verification, medical fitness, and payment of balance fees. 
  • If you do not go within the specified time frame, your seat may be forfeited. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply, the applicant must meet the following criteria:  

  1. Must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2026
  2. No maximum age limit is defined.
  3. NEET Percentiles must be as follows: 
    • General/EWS - 50th Percentile.
    • OBC/SC/ST - 40th Percentile.
  4. Must have a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Class 12 final examinations. (40% for reserved category students) and must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as part of Class 12.
  5. Open to Indian Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) without restriction.
  6. If the applicant has domiciled/resided in Karnataka, they will be eligible for an increased number of State Quota Seats.

Infrastructure
