Government Medical College, Rampur Basti, is a Government medical college in Uttar Pradesh. It offers 100 MBBS seats per year as well as post graduate MD,MS and Diploma medical programs. The college is also known as Maharishi Vashishtha Autonomous State Medical Colleges or GMC, Rampur, Basti.
The college was established in 2019 and is spread over a campus area of 7 acres. It has an attached teaching hospital and tertiary care centre, modern academic blocks and is expanding its infrastructure.
The college is about 202 km from Lucknow and can be reached through NH-28 and Basti Railway Station. It is affiliated with the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, (erstwhile King George's Medical University) and is recognized by the National Medical Commission.
The college provides academic knowledge as well as practical clinical training in many disciplines and departments through its attached 500-bed teaching hospital (OPEC Hospital, Kaily).
