About College

Government Medical College (GMC), Khammam, is a newly formed Government medical institution in the city of Khammam in Telangana. It was established in 2023 to increase healthcare services and medical education in the region.

It is located near the Khammam Railway Station and can be easily reached. The college is under affiliation with the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal and also approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Although it is a new establishment, GMC Khammam is being noticed for its quality education, vast practical training and focus on community healthcare. The college has an attached 500-bed government hospital that gives extensive practical learning to the students. The college is currently running the MBBS medical program with 100 students admitted each year. The aim of the college is to train the students and make them compassionate and able medical professionals.

Admission Process 2026, GMC Khammam

Admission to the MBBS program is by a merit-based process:

Steps-

  1. Qualify NEET-UG 2026 with the required percentile.
  2. Register for Telangana State NEET-UG Counselling
    • 85% state quota seats conducted by KNRUHS
    • 15% AIQ seats conducted by MCC
  3. In choice filling, select GMC, Khammam, as preference.
  4. Seat allotment is based on NEET rank, category, preference and availability.
  5. Once the seat is allotted, download the allotment letter.
  6. Report personally to the college with all original documents for document verification, payment of fees, medical check up and complete the formalities.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements for MBBS admission at GMC Khammam:

  2. Educational qualification: 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized education board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and secure minimum aggregate marks :

  3. Must qualify NEET-UG 2026 with minimum percentile - 50th for General and 40th for SC/ST/OBC
