Government Medical College Karimnagar is a new government-owned college situated on Jagtial Highway (NH-563) located in Karimnagar district of Telangana. Founded in 2023, the college is affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences and has received approval from the National Medical Commission.

The college has 100 admission slots for MBBS programs each year. Even though the college is new, it has already gained a reputation for excellence in teaching, modern infrastructure and good clinical experience, as the attached hospital provides students with strong clinical exposure. Admission Process 2026, GMC Karimnagar

Admission to MBBS programs is based on scores from the NEET-UG exam and applicants must then go through a counseling process conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao Health Science University.

There are several steps to follow when gaining admission:

  2. Register on the KNRUHS counseling portal

Eligibility Criteria

  4. Must have a minimum of 50% marks in PCB, (40% for the candidate who is in the Reserved Categories).
  5. The candidate has to be an Indian citizen.
  6. Must be a permanent resident of Telangana, in order to be eligible for the State Quota Seats.
  7. Must have met the medical requirements necessary for enrollment.
