Government Medical College & Hospital, Jalgaon, is a new medical college and hospital set up by the Government of Maharashtra in 2018. The main objective of the establishment of the institution was to provide medical education of high standards and public healthcare in the north Maharashtra region. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and its MBBS and postgraduate courses are recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The college is located in the Civil Hospital Campus, Jalgaon. The college has been associated with a government tertiary care teaching hospital with around 500 beds. Thus, the students get clinical exposure to various specialties like General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopaedics, etc., which are the main areas of medical training.
