Government Erode Medical College and Hospital (GEMCH) is a leading government medical school in Tamil Nadu, located in Perundurai. With an area of over 308 acres, GEMCH was originally called IRT Perundurai Medical College, created by the Institute of Road Transport, then it became part of the Tamil Nadu government on January 5th, 2019 and renamed Government Erode Medical College.
The government Erode Medical College is located adjacent to National Highway 544 and is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, in Chennai; and accredited by National Medical Commission (NMC).
