About College

Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences, Gadag (GIMS) is a renowned Government-run medical college in the Mallasamudra village of Gadag in Karnataka. It was renamed as K H Patil Institute of Medical Sciences on 17 March 2025.

It was established in 2014 by the Government of Karnataka to provide medical education and meet the healthcare needs of the population in the region.

The college is spread over 54 acres with an attached teaching hospital, modern infrastructure, dedicated research wing, residential accommodation for students and facilities. It also carries out various healthcare programs for the betterment of the community.

The college is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

It offers 150 MBBS seats per year as well as postgraduate medical programs.
