The Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Kadapa, was established in 2010 by the Mohammadiya Educational Society and is a top private medical school for Muslims. Admission Process 2026, FIMS Kadapa

Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences (FIMS) has its own admission procedure determined in accordance with State Regulations. FIMS is considered as a minority institution, and hence follows the prescribed guidelines for admissions specified by the State Governments for minority institutions.

To qualify for admission to study MBBS at FIMS, you must pass the NEET-UG 2026 (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate) which will be conducted on 03/05/2026 (to be announced).

Counselling for admission will be done by the Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh.

The admissions are reserved for Minority Candidates i.e., 50% of available seats will be reserved for applicants of the Muslim Minority group through preference by the NEET score during the state counselling.

To be admitted, candidates will need to apply for the AP State NEET counselling process and select "FIMS Kadapa" during the time of web-options. The allotment will be on the basis of merit (category) and from rank and local/non local candidates of the relevant state NEET exam.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission to the course in FIMS are as follows:

  • You must be 17 years or older by 31/12/2026.
  • You must have completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with 50 percent minimum for all General and EWS applicants, and 40% for all SC, ST, OBC or Minority Applicants.
  • Finally, to qualify for admission to the MBBS course of studies at FIMS, applicants must qualify for the qualifying marks or percentile for NEET UG 2026.
