About College
The East-West Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (EWIMSR), a private medical school established in Talit, Purba Bardhaman (West Bengal), was started in 2024. The EWIMSR has been granted affiliation from the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and accreditation from the National Medical Commission.

Admission Process 2026, EWIMSR Purba Bardhaman
Admissions to EWIMSR's MBBS Program rely 100% on your NEET-UG-2026 Score (National Eligibility Entrance Test). Your FIRST step is to take the NEET-UG test and achieve an acceptable minimum score.
Then, you need to register online and participate in West Bengal's (WB) Centralised Counselling process - you will fill out choices and be assigned seats based on NEET Score, category, and availability.
Once assigned a seat, you must report to EWIMSR with all necessary documents and within the time period set by EWIMSR so that you can pay fees and confirm enrollment with EWIMSR. There could be additional rounds of counselling to upgrade and/or fill vacant seats.
Eligibility Criteria
If you would like to apply for an MBBS program at EWIMSR you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Completion of Class 12th or its equivalent and have passed with:
- At least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and English (General & EWS)
- At least 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and English (SC/ST/OBC)
- You must qualify in NEET (UG) 2026 with a minimum percentile for your required category.

- You must also be at least 17 years old on or before the 31st of December 2026 but there is no upper age limit.

Infrastructure
EWIMSR's campus is designed to accommodate today's medical education with well-organized buildings to house lectures and labs and provide large classroom settings for student use. The departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology and Microbiology have updated lab equipment available.
The main library has a complete assortment of books, print and electronic journals, and digital resources to assist students in their studies. Students receive their clinical education within the Institute's multi-specialty hospital where they receive hands-on experience in outpatient, inpatient, intensive care, and surgical environments, as well as, functioning and emergency rooms.
