About College

The Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) was founded in 2007 by the Karnataka Government as a reputable Government medical College in Bidar in Kalyana region, Karnataka. The college has a large 130-acre campus, which is located near the historic Bidar Fort around 140 Kilometres from Hyderabad.

BRIMS is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Sciences and is recognised by the National Medical Commission. Over the years, BRIMS has become very successful for providing high-quality medical education at the Government Fee Structure and has a focus on improving health care for the rural and underserved communities.

The college currently has 150 MBBS seats and provides an extensive amount of hands-on clinical exposure to students through its attached 500+ bed district Hospital to provide an enriching clinical experience. BRIMS has qualified faculty, research opportunities, and a focus on community health care, as well as a balanced academic environment with good road and rail access.

• Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years or older as on 31 December 2026
• NEET-UG: Must have passed the NEET (UG) entrance exam
• Class 12th Minimum Marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology: General - 50%, OBC (SC/ST) - 40%
• The three sciences must have been taken from a recognised board in India.
• Only candidates with Karnataka domicile will receive priority when applying for state quota seats (also for AIQ seats)
