Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune,(also known as BVDU Medical College, Pune) in Maharashtra, is a renowned private medical deemed university and tertiary care hospital.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College was established in 1989 by Dr. Patangrao Kadam, founder of the Bharati Vidyapeeth institution and affiliated to Pune University. However, owing to its academic excellence, in April 1996, it was granted ‘Deemed’ status and the medical college became a constituent of the deemed university.

The mission of the institute is social transformation through dynamic education. It has a dedicated multispeciality hospital and tertiary care centre. It operates with multiple campuses  and constituent units imparting various courses. 

The institution  has modern classrooms, residential accommodation for students, faculty and staff, library, sports and recreational facilities. 1. Degree: MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)

1. Approx. Annual MBBS Tuition Fee: Rs.25,96,000 for the general category and USD 85050 + Rs.1,12,000 for NRI quota (for each year)
2. Development fee : Rs.2,59,600 
3. Hostel Fees with mess charges :  as per room type   
4. Additional costs: University fees for enrollment and examination as per BVDU Pune regulations or any other charges as may be levied by the college for the tenure. 

There is a 5% upward revision in the fees every year. The annual fees are determined by the central governing body of BVDU Pune. 

Admission Procedure 2026, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Pune

The admission procedure for MBBS programme is as follows:

1. Qualify NEET-UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Register for Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) .
3. Participate in choice filling and seat allotment based on minimum percentile requirements for NEET-UG as per category (general/SC/ST/OBC).
4. Report to the college with original documents for verification and fee payment.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for MBBS admission, is based on the following requirements:

1. Candidates should have completed 12th grade or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized educational board.
2. There is a minimum percentage criterion (typically 50% aggregate in PCB for the General category and the equivalent for reserved categories), in accordance with NEET/medical admission standards.
3. The candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
