About College

Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS), a public medical school located in the city of Belagavi, Karnataka, established in 2006, is a state-run medical school that occupies an area of about 33.25 acres adjacent to the District Civil Hospital, where students get ample opportunity to gain experience in clinical settings.

BIMS has been affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, since its opening and is fully recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). BIMS continues to provide excellence in educational standards and medical training, receiving 32nd place from India Today in 2025.

Every year, BIMS provides 150 seats for MBBS students, in addition to offering several MD and MS courses. Admission Process 2026, BIMS Belagavi

The admission to the MBBS course at BIMS Belagavi is based on the NEET UG examination (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), that will be conducted by the National Testing Authority (NTA).
