Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital (BMCH) is a popular private hospital and medical college located in Chitradurga, Karnataka. It was created in 1999 by SJM Vidyapeetha & Co. Ltd.. The college sits on a large campus along the Bypass to NH-4 providing ample space for both medical education and the provision of health care services to those in need of treatment.

Admission Process 2026, BMCH Chitradurga

MBBS admission to BMCH exclusively occurs through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) undertaken on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA). After candidates have qualified in NEET UG 2026, they must follow the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) Provisional Counselling Process.

Steps in the Admission Process.

2. Once you receive the results of your NEET UG 2026 exam, complete the registration for the Online Provisional Counselling (KEA).

4. Admissions will be done via several rounds of allocation for college, which include:

Eligibility Criteria

To apply to get accepted at BMCH (i.e. BMC Hospital), all applicants must fulfill all of the following eligibility criteria:

1. Minimum age of seventeen (17) years old by 31.12.2026
2. Qualified for NEET UG 2026
3. Must have secured a minimum percentage in NEET: General candidates: 50% (General PH candidates: 45%; SC/ST/OBC candidates: 40%)
4. Academic Qualification:
   • Have completed the 10+2 or equivalent.
   • Have secured a minimum of fifty percent (50%) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for general category students.
   • For reserved candidates, have secured a minimum of forty percent (40%) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
   • Must have studied and passed English as a subject and provided proof of completion.
5. Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs and PIOs who will apply can be from other states but priority will generally be given to Karnataka domicile under the Karnataka State quota.
