About College
The Autonomous State Medical College Siddharthnagar (Madhav Prasad Tripathi Medical College and Hospital) is a government medical college created by the Uttar Pradesh government in 2021. The purpose of establishing this college was to increase access to quality medical education and healthcare services throughout eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The college is located in Mudila Naugarh (a remote area within Siddharthnagar District), which allows students to study in a peaceful environment removed from the distractions and congestion found in the surrounding urban areas. The college is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, with approval from National Medical Commission (NMC), and therefore has met all the national academic and training requirements necessary to operate an MBBS programme.
In addition, the college is supported by a large teaching hospital that has about 300-350 beds, which provides an early and constant experience of clinical practice for students. As this is a new government institution, it is slowly developing a reputation for producing good doctors for the health care needs of rural and rural-urban populations.
