The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, is a Government - run medical university and hospital. It is one of the prime institutions established under Phase II of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to broaden medical education and healthcare across India. The institute got its initial notification in 2013 but officially it began working in 2018.

The campus is spread across a 148-acres area provided by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The institute is an autonomous medical university under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
