About University

The Basic Medical School of Zhengzhou University is almost a century old. Established in 1928, to be precise, this wing of the great Zhengzhou University now has 14 departments, 2 teaching lab centers and a huge faculty base. Apart from Basic Medicine, It has developed Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy primary discipline & Biology for doctorate degree and one post doctorate program. The school of Clinical Medicine has risen to be recognized as a prominent training and research center in central China. The alumni have an impressive career record and are placed in key positions across the world in the field of Medicine. The Academy of Medical Science (AMS) is a relatively novel addition to the medical wing of Zhengzhou University, focusing on development of new scientific disciplines, up-to-date scientific research and hiring talents from across the world.

About Campus life
The hostel facilities at Zhengzhou University are very decent. You get accommodation on a sharing basis, i.e. you got to share your room with one person. Rooms are very spacious unless you have opted for a room with a balcony. The room with a balcony may bring down the floor space a bit. Anyway, the room is outfitted with essentials like beds, study tables, wardrobe, attached toilet, etc. There are Wi-Fi facilities available but they are chargeable at a rate as low as 20 Yuan. Moreover, you are allotted a certain amount of units of electricity per month. Once the limit exceeds, you need to pay for the excessive electricity usage. 
Speaking on mess, there is vegetarian and non-vegetarian food available at mess. There are also some Indian restaurants located right next to the University. Even if you prefer to cook your own meal, there is a kitchen on each floor of the hostel building which is equipped with induction stove, microwave, etc. There is a Supermarket right outside the University which facilitates in fetching the essential grocery and culinary items (if you’re cooking your food).
