About University
Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZUSM) came into existence as early as 1912 and it stands today as one of the most prominent higher education center in the field of Medicine across the whole of the country. The 4 departments that constitute ZUSM are: Public health, Neurology, Basic Medical Sciences & Nursing. The University has 16k full-time faculty members. ZUSM is in collaboration with Oxford University, Univ. of Toronto, University of Edinburgh, and Yale University and with them, is engaged in devising fresh breakthroughs in the field of Medicine. About Campus life
ZUSM is located in Hangzhou which is the Capital of Zhejiang province and is acknowledged to be one of the most beautiful cities in this part of the world. Being the center of culture, economy, science and politics, the city of Hangzhou is ideal, especially for international students, to spend the formative years of one’s life. The Zhejiang University has 7 campuses! The main campus is the Zhejiang campus where 1st and 2nd year undergraduates study. The Yuquan campus is mostly for the Engineering students. The Haining campus is the brand new International campus (estd. 2016). The other campuses are: Zhoushan, Zhijiang, Huajiachi and Xixi.

Zhejiang University accommodation facilities are just as much like the quality of education imparted here: Excellent! Let’s begin from the very start i.e. the entrance. You’re furnished with an electronic card that will enable your entry into the University hostel. If, by any means, you have a friend coming to your hostel room who apparently does not stay in that hostel, s/he will have to make an entry in the hostel register and then the security guard who is present round the clock at the hostel entrance would let your friend inside the hostel. Moreover, you need not climb the stairs to reach your room as there are elevators inside the building.
The rooms are available on solo as well as sharing basis. The room is outfitted with a bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, ACs, etc. You even get a washroom attached to your room. Kitchen facilities are available on each floor of the hostel building for those who prefer to cook their own food. However, if you do not feel like cooking on some day, you might just grab food and beverages from the vending machine located inside your hostel building. Or even better, you can head to the University mess where you’ve much more options to choose from. There’s Indian food available in the mess, both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. At mess, you pay for your meal through a card which has other utilities too such as paying for electricity of your room, availing the subway, etc.
