About Campus life
The university is authorized by the Russian ministry for education for educating both Russian as well as foreign students. Since 1962, the university is training its students. It began to teach English since 2000.
As the university is listed in the Directory of higher medical schools, the graduated students can work in any of the countries (once they pass the national examination of that particular country).
There are 6 faculties in the university. They are:
• Faculty of general medicine
• Faculty of dentistry
• Faculty of pediatrics
• Faculty of pharmacy
• Faculty of medical biochemistry
• Faculty of social work and clinical psychology
Furthermore, the Volgograd state medical university has dedicated department for physical training which includes sports ground, indoor mini stadium and a gym. For the initial 2 years, it’s compulsory for all the students to actively participate in physical training. However, you can opt for training in different sports, of your choice.
