Tongji University School of Medicine (TUSM) in China is an old and reputed University, established as early as 1907. It became a National University of China in 1927. Enrollment of International students in the MBBS program at Tongji began a decade back. As this change was made keeping the increasing demand of Medical Education worldwide, the entire program has been made fulfilling in every way. Also, students specially interested in USMLE should consider getting admission at Tongji Medical as the curriculum is planned accordingly. The students are encouraged to sit in USMLE during the 3rd year.

About Campus life
The campus life at TUSM is made very colorful by the conduction of various recreational activities. In the field of sports, one may participate in numerous events and may even pursue it as a career if she so pleases. Culturally, TUSM is really rich in diversity, Due to its focus on USMLE, it is quite an attraction for international students and they enrich the environment of the campus. Every effort is made to encourage interaction among students and events like debates and GDs are fairly common. The infrastructure and facilities, of course, are of international standards.

At Tongji Medical University, students have the option to choose between on-campus and off-campus accommodation. On-campus accommodation consists of different types of rooms categorized on the basis of facilities and room occupancy. The students have to choose between solo and double mode of accommodation. Moreover, all types of rooms are furnished with basic facilities like beds, study tables, mattresses and pillows, air conditioning, attached bathroom, electric kettle, etc. Students can also avail rooms that come with facilities of refrigerator, television, etc. If choosing double mode of accommodation, either the University or the students themselves can choose their roommate. Facilities like laundry and kitchen are available on each floor of the building. For off campus accommodation, the students must fulfill the formalities at the international student office. Students must go through the formalities since there are various provisions for various modes of accommodation such as living in an apartment, living with a relative, living in hotel, etc.
