About University
"Founded in 1957, Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University is located in the city of Ternopil and was built after the orders of the Ukrainian govt. (soon after the World War II). It is named after Sir Ivan Horbachevsky in honor of his great contribution in the stream of medicine, especially in bio-chemistry. Later in the year 2004, Ternopil Medical University was rewarded with the title of “State medical University” and because of this it began to be popularly known as I.H Ternopil state medical University. Doubtlessly, it has grown rapidly in recent years and has also developed its facilities and programs but the huge change was when Ukraine got its independence in the year 1991."

About Campus life
"Speaking about the student life at Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University, it has two buildings dedicated for academics and laboratory facilities. In addition to this, the students are easily accommodated within the 2 colossal buildings located inside the campus of the university. These hostels offer every possible facility to the students and recently there’s this regional hospital and morphology building which is established for the students.
Having the 4th level of accreditation, the university currently has enrolled over 1500 students from over 50 different countries."

Associated with fully furnished rooms, Ternopil State Medical University resembles quite a comfortable hostel system. In addition to this, there are recreation centers around the hostels which enable a study-friendly environment. However, the hostel rooms vary in terms of sizes and the dormitory rooms at the university can accommodate up to 3 students in 1 room.
Furthermore, each room is equipped with a mattress, bed, chair, pillow, blanket, heater, desk, air conditioners, and adequate lighting for both study and relaxation. In fact, there are common areas built for students to play and mingle. Moreover, as soon as a student arrives at the campus of Ternopil State Medical University, one room is allocated and once the health report check is done, this student will be accommodated in the room that is allotted to her.
Speaking about the hostel facilities, every single room is equipped with a kitchen so that they can cook food on their own. However, you need to have your own kitchen utensils while meals may be bought from food outlets. Also, there are messes at the campus that provide your preferred food dishes.
