Shandong University (SDU) in China is a multi-dimensional Institution featuring among the best Universities in China. By student population that stands at way more than 50k, it is one of the largest. The SDU of today is the result of numerous mergers but its origin is taken to be in 1901 that makes it 120 years old. Shandong University @ Weihai, established in 1984, houses the Shandong Medical College which came to be the Shandong Medical University in 1985. Today, Shandong Medical University has as many as 14 colleges that offer 56 UG Programs, 57 PG Programs & 17 doctoral degree programs.

About Campus life
SDU has a reputation of treating International students really well. SDU has as many as 8 campuses of international standards, each completely modernized with excellent infrastructure and hygiene. The Baotuquan Campus contains the schools of Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, and Dentistry & Pharmacy. With more than 50k students on board, many of which are foreigners, the cultural diversity the campuses at SDU provides is remarkable. With a resolve to make foreign students feel at home, SDU students’ Union and Council makes sure that none feel left out and thus, their festivals are celebrated with pomp & show. Sports and other activities are also encouraged.

Hostel and facilities
There are accommodation options available right at the University campus in the form of hostels. The ambience of the hostel resembles the likes of a very fine hotel. There are lush green plants placed in many places around the hostel infrastructure so fresh air is easily available throughout the premises. The hostel rooms are furnished with essential articles such as beds, wardrobe, mattresses, pillows, curtains, chairs, tables, ACs and so on.
There is a kitchen on every floor in the hostel for students who prefer to cook their own food, or perhaps for instances when students want to store some food for future use or reheat some food since the kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, microwave, etc. among other basic things. There is also seating facility available in the kitchen. Hence, you need not move back and forth from room to the kitchen and instead savor the cooked meal in kitchen only. Like kitchen, there is also wash area available on every floor. The hostel is guarded by CCTV cameras and security guards thus keeping you as well as your belongings secure.
