About University
Inspite of the comparatively small campus and average infrastructure, the number of students taking admission at Osh State University is 40k of which, 3k are international. Though it is a Public University, the infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired. The high number of incumbents happens because of two reasons: relaxed eligibility and low costs. The study of Medicine began at OshSU less than 30 years back (1993) and hence, it can easily be inferred that the experience of the Institution in teaching Medicine is less.

About Campus life
The University is preferred by the students of the states of UP & Bihar who form the majority of Indians that you will find there. The fact is that the overall Medical facilities available in Kyrgyzstan are not up to the mark to the extent that people of Kyrgyzstan visit India and prefer it as a destination of medical tourism. Obviously, it is not really a great idea to pursue your medical education from here. Apart from a small campus and poor infrastructure, the pedagogy is also lacking in quality. However, the campus has sports and cultural support for the students.

Hostel and facilities
There are two hostels in the OshSU campus, namely - Hostel Elina and Hostel NF3. The living conditions are fairly average. The main concern is that because of the jeopardized state of law & order due to political instability, it is not very safe. Even if you choose to take that in your stride, you may still be disappointed because the amenities are also not up to the mark.
