About University
ISM is a private University and that explains the lackings. As an MBBS Abroad destination, ISM is very popular in Bihar, from the weaker strata of its society. The quality of education and the infrastructure are lacking. You can't expect much from a Private University which is less than 2 decades old.The University is fairly new and was established in 2003, while the Medical wing became functional a year later.

About Campus life
It has 3 main campuses, two of which are in Bishkek and the third is in Cholpon-Ata. Being very small campuses, the life at ISM is also fairly limited in dimensions. The students are more or less on their own, be it academics or recreation. The official website of ISM says,"We are trying to minimize risk that can affect student’s health and we urge students to take care of themselves while making their transactions." The living standards may be judged from this official declaration of uncertainty.

Due to the large number of Indian students studying at ISM, you will definitely find Indian food there. But the infrastructure and overall experience is typical of a B Grade Private University. Having said that, the hostels are clean and the food is hygeinic. Students are free to stay outside campus renting private accommodations. The hostels have the basic amenities like laundry and recreation rooms.
