About University
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University came into existence in the year 1923 in the city of Batumi, Georgia. The course of medicine, however, was introduced in 1990 thereby having a history of little over 3 decades of teaching medicine. It is one of the very few government Universities in Georgia and hence reliable for international students to pursue an MBBS abroad. The medical aspirants from India might not want to take a chance to study not just here but anywhere in Georgia since there is no Indian embassy in Georgia which imples your do not have any sort of institution representing your own nation during your 5 year stay there in Georgia. The best thing about campus life at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, as per students who have been there, is its location. The University is settled close to the black sea which is a wonderful sight to marvel at. Speaking on the facilities provided by University, there is a gymnasium located on the first floor of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University so students can focus on their fitness as well.
Internet can be accessed throughout the University by the students so to enforce a hassle free study environment. There is also a canteen located within the campus which caters to the students with delicious and freshly cooked food. Also, speaking of travel options, there is no direct flight between Batumi city and any Indian city so one has to travel to Tbilisi to board a flight to India.

The dormitory offered by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is safe to stay and affordable for students as well. The dormitory has a capacity of housing 200 students at a time. There is also kitchen constructed at the University. Other basic amenities like conference hall, laundry, security office, library, elevator, etc. The dormitory is constructed in a way to cater to person with disabilities.
