Germany
Public universities in 15 of 16 states require no tuition. Baden-Württemberg charges €1,500 a year for non-EU students. Every student pays a semester fee of €150-€400. Your visa needs a blocked account (Sperrkonto) with €11,904, released at €992 a month.
France
The CAF housing subsidy can refund 30% to 40% of your rent.
Italy
Tuition follows your family's ISEE Parificato income score, and low-income families can get a full waiver.
Spain

Masters in Europe for Indian Students: Eligibility, Duration and Process

Europe lacks software, data science and AI talent. If you study IT in Europe, you join a market that hires. Technical universities in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden work closely with industry. MBBS in Europe: medical schools and medical universities
MBBS in Europe costs €3,000-€15,000 a year at public and state medical universities in Poland, Hungary and Italy. Private medical colleges in India often charge over Rs.1 crore, and government seats are scarce. Leading options include the Medical University of Warsaw and Semmelweis University in Hungary. Italy admits English-medium students through the IMAT exam, including at the University of Bologna.
Your degree counts toward practice in India only if it meets NMC rules. Ask every one of the medical schools in Europe on your list to prove each point in writing before you pay a deposit:
- Duration: At least 54 months of study, then a 12-month internship at the same university.
- Language: All teaching, including clinical rotations, in English.
- Recognition: The university must be recognized by the WHO, FAIMER and the local medical council.
- Registration: The degree must let you practice in that country on the same terms as citizens.
PhD in Europe
A PhD in Europe often pays you instead of charging you. Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark hire doctoral candidates as staff on contracts of €2,500-€3,800 a month, with healthcare, social security and zero tuition. Germany, France and the Netherlands fund PhDs through assistantships, national grants such as DAAD and CNRS, and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon Europe. Study in Europe without IELTS
You can study in Europe without IELTS at many universities, usually with a MOI certificate from your Indian university. Embassies make the final visa call, and they can still ask for a score.

Italy's DSU: a need-based grant
DSU is not a merit award. It is a legal right based on family income, and many Indian families miss it.
- Income limit: An ISEE Parificato score of about €23,000-€27,000, or roughly Rs.21-24 lakh of household income.
- Asset limit: Family property and assets under €50,000 (about Rs.45 lakh).
- Benefits: Full tuition exemption, a dorm place or rent aid, one or two free canteen meals a day, and €5,000-€7,442 in yearly cash.
- Paperwork: Income, property and bank records for the past calendar year, translated into Italian and stamped with an Apostille by India's Ministry of External Affairs. After you arrive, a CAF tax center issues your ISEE certificate.
Student visa and post-study work rules by country
Germany gives you 18 months to find a job after your master's. Finland gives 24, and France gives 12 to 24.
