About College

Sri Chamundeshwari Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (SCMCH&RI) is a recently formed private medical institution to impart quality medical education and community healthcare. It is located in the Channapatna Taluk of the Ramanagara District in Karnataka. It was founded in 2023 by Sri Ranga Educational Trust and is managed by the Trust.

The college is located along the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway making it very accessible and well connected.

The institute is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,(RGUHS) Bangalore, and is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) with annual renewal for MBBS admissions.

The institute offers 150 MBBS seats each year. SCMCH&RI highlights practical learning through its dedicated 900+ bed teaching hospital with more than 30 ICUs and modern modular operation theatres. Being a new institution, it is well known for its co-educational campus environment with modern infrastructure, experienced faculty members and community healthcare objectives.

Fee Structure 2026, SCMCH&RI

The fee structure for MBBS 2026 batch, is expected to be:

Approx. Annual MBBS Tuition Fees-

  • Rs.1.54 lakh per year for Government quota
  • Rs.12,00,900 per year for Management quota
  • up toRs.27,00,900 per year for NRI quota

These amounts are usually constant across the entire 5.5 year program, including internship.

Hostel charges:

Approx. Rs.2,30,000 per year, (includes furnished accommodation, mess serving multi-cuisine meals, laundry and utilities).

Additional expenses may include:

  • One-time caution deposit:Rs.50,000 to Rs.1 lakh
  • Library /lab fees:Rs.10,000 to Rs.20,000 per year
  • Uniform & ID card:Rs.5,000
  • Exam and miscellaneous charges:Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 per year

Admission Process 2026, SCMCH&RI

Admission is based on merit and NEET-UG 2026 with valid scores.Candidates have to:

  1. Qualify NEET-UG 20226 with a valid score. 
  2. Register for counseling through the Karnataka Examinations Authority portal (KEA) by uploading the documents, paying the fees. 
  3. Participate in choice filling, mock allotment and official counseling rounds (Round 1, Round 2, mop-up extended mop-up). 
  4. Candidates are allotted their seat based on NEET rank, preferences and reservation rules. 
  5. Download the allotment letter, pay the fees and reporting to SCMCH&RI with all documents for verification and medical examination. 
  6. Government, management and NRI seats are all filled through the KEA merit-based counseling process. 

Eligibility Criteria

must meet the following requirements to be eligible :

  • Be of minimum age i.e. 17 years on or before 31 December 2026. 
  • Must qualify NEET-UG 2026. 
  • Must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with minimum aggregate 50% (40% for reserved categories) from recognized board or PUC equivalent. 
  • Must be of eligible nationalities: Indian, NRI, OCI / PIO.
