Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences & Sanaka Hospitals (SRIMS)is a reputed private medical college situated in Durgapur. Established in 2019, the institute received approval through a Letter of Permission from the Board of Governors (which superseded the Medical Council of India at the time) to offer its MBBS program.

The college is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission and has an annual intake of 150 students.

The campus is lush and green spread over more than 20 acres and has an attached 385 bed teaching hospital that gives valuable and vast clinical exposure to the students.   1. Approximate Total MBBS Tuition Fees for the entire duration (5.5 years/66 months): Rs.99.11 lakhs.
    The fees are generally paid yearly during counselling rounds.
  2. Hostel charges are between Rs.11.7 lakhs to Rs.19.5 lakhs( as per room type and occupancy) for the entire course.
  3. Additional costs include:
    • One-time caution money deposit - refundable
    • Library and academic fees
    • Lab, exam and miscellaneous charges (Rs.2 lakhs to Rs.5 lakhs initially)

Admission Process 2026, SRIMS Durgapur

MBBS admission at SRIMS&SH is according to NEET-UG 2026-based centralized counselling:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats: Managed by Medical Counselling Committee(MCC)
  • 85% State Quota seats: Managed by West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC)

  • Register on MCC or WBMCC portal after the results which are expected around June-July 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following conditions:

  • Minimum age must be 17 years on or before 31 December 2026.
  • Must qualify NEET-UG 2026 with the minimum required percentile - 50th for general category and 40th for reserved categories.

Academic Requirements

  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) (or its equivalent) with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (PCB), and English with minimum aggregate marks in PCB - 50% for general category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC categories and 45% for general-PH category.

Other Criteria

  • Eligible candidates are Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs and PIOs.
  • Foreign nationals have to follow specific admission requirements.
  • A gap certificate is required for academic breaks of more than one year.
  • For state quota seats, residents of West Bengal are preferred.
  • For private quota seats, there is no domicile requirement.
