About University

In 2004, Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa kept the foundation of the Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy. The University name is officially shortened to – MAHSA University. The University’s vision involves the creation of a stronghold of academic excellence in the South-East Asian region. At present, it is a full-fledged Malaysian higher education institution. However, the university has students from 75 different countries and not just from the region of Asia, but as far as Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada.

At MAHSA, the students have immense opportunities to gain state-of-the-art facilities on campus, such as Additive Manufacturing Lab and an AI-based Dental lab. The University's vision is to produce qualified and compassionate professionals to serve the needs of the country in line with the national goals. The new 48-acre campus at Bandar Saujana Putra is the embodiment of that vision.

The university of MAHSA gives a mobility program as part of academic education. Moreover, it opens ways for an individual to experience new cultures, make friends from all over the world, and improve competitive ability. Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and was awarded online university status by the Ministry of Education Malaysia. The MAHSA University delivers a range of open and distance learning programs which is designed for future academic learning.

The cost of living in Petaling Jaya is approx. 400-500 USD per month which includes your daily expenses. Of course, your accommodation, food, and lifestyle will determine the amount you spend. Moreover, your expenses in Petaling Jaya would be around 300-400 USD for accommodation, and 100-200 USD for your daily food and drink.

Some of the scholarships such as the Blue Ribbon Scholarship, Family Scholarship, School Teachers Scholarship, The Single - Parent Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Foundation Scholarship, Excellence Scholarship, and so on can be availed by the students. Nonetheless, these can be availed as full and partial scholarships by meritorious candidates.

As an international student studying abroad becomes a challenging task. While enrolled at the university, doing a part-time job work while perusing your studies enables the candidate to manage monthly expenses. The working hour for part-time jobs allowed is 20 hours per week. Students can find part-time work at restaurants, mini-markets, etc.

After studying at MAHSA University Malaysia, as an International student, you are eligible to apply for a temporary residence permit. After graduating, students are allowed to stay in Malaysia or any of the Schengen countries for 12-15 months, which enables students to look for jobs or get self-employed. Furthermore, the students must obtain the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) as soon as they arrive in Malaysia.
