About College
Burdwan Medical College (BMC), or Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, is one of the oldest government medical institutions in eastern India, situated in Bardhaman, West Bengal. Established in 1969 and later acquired by the State Government of West Bengal in 1976, BMC has a long-standing academic tradition.
BMC has been affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) since 2003 and is fully accredited by the National Medical Commission (NMC). As a large-scale medical school, every year BMC takes in 200 MBBS students and provides a number of Postgraduate courses and offers an extensive clinical exposure through its multi-specialty hospital including Cardiology, Neurology and Nephrology.

Fee Structure 2026, BMC Burdwan
Owing to the Government supported nature of the MBBS program the overall cost of the program remains low around Rs.40,500 for 4.5 years plus internship.

Admission Process 2026, BMC Burdwan
The admissions process for Burdwan Medical College is through the NEET UG exam and will occur in the steps as outlined below:
