Admission Process 2026

Admission to Barasat Government Medical College is obtained by following these four steps:

  1. You must sit the NEET UG exam, which is administered by NTA.
  2. After taking the test, you can participate in the counselling process; you will have two ways to do this:
    • The all-India quota (15%) via the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)
    • The state quota (85%) via the counselling authority of the West Bengal State
  3. To ensure you have a seat, you must fill out and lock-in your choice during counselling rounds.
  4. Once you are given a seat, you must report to the college with the appropriate documents and payment to confirm your admission.

Eligibility Criteria
