Assam NEET-UG 2021 Counseling Process:
The Directorate of Medical Education, Guwahati is responsible for conducting State counseling for allocation of 85% of MBBS Seats in Govt and Private Medical College under State Quota. However, MCC is the governing body for filling rest 15 % seats through All India Quota seats in Govt Medical College and 100% Seats in Deemed University. Seat allocation is being done in multiple phases both in All India counseling and State counseling of Assam. 2. To avail the benefits of State quota, the candidate must have studied in any school-based out of Assam from 7th to 12th Standard.
3. To further qualify the criteria of State quota, the candidate’s parents must be residing in the state of Assam for a minimum of 20 years.
The foremost step towards Assam MBBS admission process is to register at the official website of Directorate of Medical Education, Assam by submitting your personal info and contact details. After submitting the information, a user ID and password will be mailed to the candidate on the e-mail ID provided at the time of Assam MBBS admission registration. The candidate would then login with the user ID and password and fill the Assam MBBS admission application form. After filling the personal details, the candidates would be asked to choose the colleges based on their preference which shall be done with due carefulness. Afterwards, the candidates must furnish his/her academic details required to complete the process. Once the Assam NEET merit list 2021 is released, those who have their name on the list would be enabled to further into the process and attend the counseling procedure.

The total no of MBBS seats in Assam 2021 available for admission annually are primarily reserved for those candidates who are based out of the state of Assam. NEET-UG Exam dates 2022
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET (UG) 2021 examination on Sunday, 12th September 2021 in pen & paper mode. NEET-2021 Exam was delayed due to the second wave of COVID-19. CBSE announced the 12th Board exams for 2022 in April and May It is expected NTA may conduct NEET-UG 2022 Exams in the month of July’22. If it happens then the NEET result will be declared in the month of Aug. In such a scenario, NEET UG Counseling 2022 will take place in the month of Sept.
