CHENNAI: Admission of 36 postgraduate medical students by Saveetha Medical University at Tandalam here was in accordance with norms, the Madras high court ruled on Friday. But the court said the admissions would be subject to the result of a pending case. It gave the students liberty to apply for state counseling and directed the government to permit them to apply till April 11. A division bench of Justice S Nagamuthu and Justice Anita Sumanth, noting the court was prima facie convinced that the admissions were in accordance with the norms of National Board of Examinations and via NEET and the students' marks, said: "The admission of 36 students in the university will be subject to the result of the writ petition."
